Women are the engine of transformation!

That was the message that emanated from the second Female Impact Summit, a meeting of 120 influential women from business, politics and culture.

Ingeborg Neumann, founder and CEO of the Peppermint Group, was among the guests of entrepreneur Prof. Yu Zhang at the China Club in Berlin on February 15, 2024. In her role as President of the German Textile+Fashion Association and Vice President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), she was also in demand as a panelist. Together with Dr. Ariane Reinhart, CEO of Continental AG, Dr. Sigrid Nikutta, CEO of DB Cargo AG, and Prof. Dr. Marcel Fratzscher, President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW),

Ingeborg Neumann discussed the significant changes in the geo-economic challenges facing industry in Germany. The importance of female executives in view of the current transformations in society and the economy was addressed by the wife of the Federal President, the administrator Elke Büdenbender, in her speech at the Female Impact Summit. "An exciting afternoon and evening with lots of input from great guests," concluded Ingeborg Neumann. "I was particularly impressed by the panel discussion on artificial intelligence and the AI expert Dr. Feyu Xu".  Feyu Xu explained the three phases of AI for companies. "The first is when AI helps to continuously improve the status quo. You can see this in the applications we are already using."

The second phase is about building up AI expertise that helps companies to scale. The third phase is when AI creates better and competitive business models for industry. For Ingeborg Neumann, this is an exciting strategic approach that the Peppemint Group will also be looking into.
